Priya's birthday brunch 2013

long time no update. we spent all Saturday and Sunday cooking for Priya's annual birthday brunch! this year we dropped some dishes and tried out some new ones. I think the new dishes (a winter citrus salad with fennel, red onion, and pomegranate and especially a raw-Brussels sprout slaw with toasted almonds, lemon, and Parmesan cheese) were hits. some old favorites (beet-and-avocado salad with roasted-shallot dressing, poha, salmon from Acme, kielbasa from Kiszka, French green lentils, French toast casserole, Katie's egg-and-chiles casserole...) hung around, being awesome.
